Featured Bands: Rock Bottom

Beer Garden

Friday Aug 12, 2011

Formed in 2008 from high school stock. Each member posses a deep and
abiding appreciation for Classic Rock and an uncompromising work ethic
that saw Rock Bottom perform more than 100 gigs in 2009.
Despite their tender years – the oldest being 18, Rock Bottom has opened for
the likes of 6 time CCMA nominated Ambush, for North Americas number one
Kiss tribute band Dressed to Kill, the Trevor Walsh Group, has appeared with
the Abrams Brothers, and has also been featured on TV, radio and more.
Rock Bottoms attention to tone, presentation and providing something
for everyone has recently seen them venture into modern Country as they
present a 60/40 mix of Classic Rock with Modern Country. Rock Bottoms ability to put their edge on Country music presents a tastefully high-octane Country Rock Sound.

Demo cross is full contact racing at its best!

It is a 15 lap obstacle race using V6 and
4 Cylinder vehicles. The course includes jumps,
rumble strips, bottle neck corners, and always some twisted metal.

The goal is to take the lead, either through speed or force, including smashing opponents out of the way, all while trying to avoid getting spun out before the checkered flag.

The Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Corporation and the Peterborough Agricultural Society are currently planning our second Agricultural Pavilion at the Peterborough Exhibition from August 12th-14th, 2011.

This year’s pavilion is themed “Planting the seed today, for tomorrow’s success”. It focus’ on the growth of our agricultural sector through today’s innovative research and development initiatives which ensure the future of our Agricultural industry. Looking to tomorrow’s needs, we highlight the important role of agriculture in today’s society by educating youth and family on its role in the advancement of energy creation, biogas, sustainability, health and nutrition.

The pavilion is open to the general public upon admission to the Exhibition, which had an attendance of over 10,500 people last year, and will last for three full days.

We are very excited to once again have the opportunity to showcase our local agricultural businesses and believe that the Peterborough region’s rich and diverse agricultural sector is something to be celebrated and experienced by all!
